Seemingly out of nowhere, Giddens' little Taiwanese youth drama YOU ARE THE APPLE OF MY EYE had became an overnight sensation when it released worldwide. Now Giddens can smiled wide as YOU ARE THE APPLE OF MY EYE finally broke record with a whopping HK$61,295,651 after 73 days in Hong Kong cinemas. The movie has also toppled over previous record holder, Stephen Chow's KUNG FU HUSTLE (HK$61,278,697) which  was released in 2004.
